PATIENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Rights Unit
Health services cannot be compromised from the rights and responsibilities of individuals due to their vital importance. We respect all the rights of all our patients and their relatives who apply to our hospital during the time they receive service from our hospital. T.R. With this resource, which we prepared by making use of the Ministry of Health's Patient Rights regulation, we aimed to inform our patients about the rights they have and the responsibilities they must fulfill during service procurement.
Patient rights
It is the whole of the practices made in order to protect the rights of the person who requests medical assistance and applies to a health institution for this purpose, which is guaranteed by international and national legislation, during the whole service period given to him in that health institution. Patient Rights aims to protect human health at a high level and to provide high quality health services.
1. Right to Benefit from Services:
All our patients who apply to our hospital have the right to benefit from all services regardless of language, religion, race or sect. Our patients have the right to benefit from the preventive and curative health services necessary for them to continue their lives in a fair manner.
2. The Right to Inform and Request Information:
Our patients have the right to receive information about their health status, current health services and how they can benefit from them, and to see and obtain documents about themselves and their diseases.
3. Right of Consent and Consent:
Our patients have the right to accept, refuse or demand the discontinuation of the recommended treatment after they are adequately informed.
4. The Right to Choose and Change the Health Institution and its Personnel:
Our patients have the right to choose and change which diagnosis and treatment method will be used, the doctors, nurses and other health personnel responsible for their treatment.
5. Right to Privacy and Confidentiality:
Our patients have the right to demand that their personal information, health conditions, diagnosis and treatment processes or the content of their private visits be kept confidential. Unless there is a medical necessity and our patient does not give permission, for whatever reason, information about his private and family life is not shared with anyone other than himself.
Our patients have the right to refuse to talk to or see people who are not directly related to their treatment, including visitors.
Our patients have the right to protect all the information obtained during the diagnosis and treatment phase, even in the event of their death. This information is only disclosed to the relevant authorities in line with the express consent of the patient or his/her heirs or court decision.
6. The Right to Dignity:
Our patients and their relatives have the right to receive health services with a smiling, gentle, compassionate approach and in a clean contemporary environment.
7. The Right to Fulfill His Religious Duties:
Our patients have the right to fulfill their religious obligations within the possibilities of the health facility and as long as they do not interfere with treatment.
To the extent possible, the patient or his authorized representative has the right to bring a clergyman to suggest and pray according to the patient's religious needs.
8. Right to Visit and Accompaniment:
Our patients have the right to accept visitors and have companions in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by our hospital.
9. Right to Security:
Our patients have the right to protect life and property safety and to be protected from risks and medical errors in health services.
10. Right to Consultation and Second Opinion:
If our patients accept their responsibilities, they have the right to obtain information about their health status from another physician working in the same branch, or to seek consultation with a specialist from a different branch.
11. Right to Submit Complaints / Opinions and Suggestions:
Our patients have the right to initiate, review, finalize and be informed of the outcome of the complaint mechanism in our hospital in case their rights are neglected.
Patient Responsibilities
It can be defined as the duties and obligations that the patient must fulfill before applying to a health board and in the process after applying.
- Our patients are responsible for doing their best to take care of their own health and to follow the advice given for a healthy life.
- The person can donate blood or donate organs, if appropriate.
- In simple cases, people are responsible for taking care of themselves.
- Our patients are responsible for notifying changes in their health, social security and personal information in a timely manner.
- Our patients are responsible for reporting their complaints, previous illnesses, whether they have received any inpatient treatment, the drugs they are currently using, and all information about their health.
- Our patients are responsible for complying with the rules and practices of the health institution to which they apply.
- Our patients are responsible for complying with the referral chain determined by the Ministry of Health and other social security institutions.
- It is responsible for cooperating with healthcare professionals during the treatment, care and rehabilitation process of our patients.
- Our patients are responsible for paying the examination and treatment expenses.
- If our patients benefit from a health facility that provides services with an appointment, they are responsible for complying with the date and time of the appointment and notifying the relevant place of changes.
- Our patients are responsible for respecting the rights of hospital staff, other patients and visitors.
- Our patients are responsible for covering the damages they cause to the hospital equipment.
- Our patients are responsible for carefully listening to the advice about their treatment and medications and asking questions about things they cannot understand.
- If our patients are unable to comply with the recommendations regarding their treatment, they are responsible for notifying the healthcare professional.
- Our patients are responsible for stating whether they understand the health care and post-discharge care plan correctly as expected.
- Our patients are responsible for the consequences of refusing the treatment or not following the recommendations.
